Games for Goals on the 15th National Meeting of Platform Zimbabwe

Saturday, October 14, three members of the Haarlem-Mutare city link were present at the national meeting of Platform Zimbabwe. This annual meeting of private initiatives on Zimbabwe was held for the 15th time. This time at Corderius College in Amersfoort. In an excellent atmosphere, about 45 people from 20 organizations participated in an inspiring program. Dik Bol gave a presentation on the Healthy Rivers project of the Haarlem-Mutare city link and our educational project Games for Goals. Date: October 14

Testlessons Aqua Heroes in Bosch en Vaarschool Haarlem (Netherlands)

On Friday 3 November, 27 pupils from group 8 of the Bosch and Vaartschool played the first version of the game The Water Cycle. In four groups, two games were played, about dry rivers and chemical river pollution. The strength of these games is that it is about the children working together towards a solution. The children were very enthusiastic about the games and the rain dance part was popular. In the follow-up discussion, the children and their teacher gave good suggestions for improving the final game. Date: 3 November

Aqua Heroes as part of Stadsmakerscongres Haarlem 2023 (Netherlands)

On Friday, 23 and Saturday, 24 June, approximately 275 Haarlem ‘city makers’ came together to discuss deepening and concrete cooperation with initiators, developers, civil servants and other professionals. On Friday, 23 June we were part of the information market and on 24 June we gave an inspiring workshop about this project in the Binnensteeds community centre. It was explained how we had come up with the game idea with 10 teachers from the five participating countries. Date: 23-24 of June 2023

Aqua Heroes in the exhibition Water = Life, community centre Binnensteeds Haarlem

For the second time, Haarlem-Mutare and others partners organized the annual Ecotrip Festival. With more than 48 activities across the city, sustainability was connected to culture during the National Climate Week. Until the end of the year, the Binnensteeds community centre, Nieuwe Groenmarkt 20 Haarlem hosted the exhibition Water = Life.
