March 22 has been declared World Water Day by the United Nations. The first World Water Day was in 1992. The day aims to raise awareness among people around the world about the importance of clean water and all the issues that arise with it. On that day in 2024, Dik Bol and Els vd IJssel of the Haarlem-Mutare twinning gave a guest lesson Aqua Heroes to twenty enthusiastic students from group 7 of the Meander primary school in Delftgauw.

Donderdag 14 november was de Stedenband Haarlem-Mutare aanwezig bij het Duurzame Docenten Diner in het Coornhert Lyceum in Haarlem. We presenteerde daar onze onderwijsmethodes met de nadruk op onze Games for Goals spel Aqua Heroes. Het was een drukbezochte avond met 50 docenten en een aantal duurzame ondernemers. On sustainable water management, Haarlem-Mutare organized our INSPIRATION EVENING Clean Rivers on September 17 at 20:00 in Debate Center De Pletterij in Haarlem. In the community center the Badhuis Leidsebuurt, Leidseplein 49 Haarlem, we are organizing a game afternoon on September 28 at 14:00 with the game Aqua Heroes for children. In a playful way, children get to work with this cooperative board game to give the river a sustainable future. This action is part of the Ecotrip Festival that took place in Haarlem from September 28 to October 6. Date: 28of September 2024

Wednesday, January 31, 2024, the Citylink Haarlem-Mutare participated in the Game Didactic Game conference in Utrecht for the fourth time organized by the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht and Saganet. That day, teachers, pedagogical experts and other education professionals came together for an inspiring program of keynotes, workshops and the game market. At the conference, our Foundation Haarlem-Mutare gave a workshop on the promising game “Aqua Heroes”. Date: January 31, 2024

On 16th of November at the AP University of Applied Sciences in Antwerp, was part of the “International Week” in which more than 80 students from Dutch and Belgian primary schools are participating. That day with Apoline Bouin from the French NGO Kurioz, Dik Bol led two workshops for 48 participating students with our first Aqua Heroes. We received very valuable feedback there. Saturday, October 14, three members of the Haarlem-Mutare city link were present at the national meeting of Platform Zimbabwe. This annual meeting of private initiatives on Zimbabwe was held for the 15th time. This time at Corderius College in Amersfoort. In an excellent atmosphere, about 45 people from 20 organizations participated in an inspiring program. Dik Bol gave a presentation on the Healthy Rivers project of the Haarlem-Mutare city link and our educational project Games for Goals. Date: October 14

On Friday 3 November, 27 pupils from group 8 of the Bosch and Vaartschool played the first version of the game The Water Cycle. In four groups, two games were played, about dry rivers and chemical river pollution. The strength of these games is that it is about the children working together towards a solution. The children were very enthusiastic about the games and the rain dance part was popular. In the follow-up discussion, the children and their teacher gave good suggestions for improving the final game. Date: 3 November
